The SHISSO general meeting, covering the 2025 fiscal year, was held on September 12, 2026, with 28 members in attendance and 7 members represented by proxy. The association currently has 70 members who are up to date with their dues, compared to 55 in 2025. In 2025, SHISSO organized two conferences, in Strasbourg and Lyon. Its members also presented their work at conferences in France and abroad, notably in Paris, Thessaloniki, London, Utrecht, and Boston. This international presence is complemented by scientific publications and collaborations with several partner organizations. The international HOMEoRUN Delphi study represents a major step forward for the association.

On September 11 and 12, 2026, the 8th SHISSO Congress brought together 60 participants in Strasbourg: doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and professionals in supportive care in oncology from France, Tunisia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Brazil. The program addressed specific situations in palliative care, including cognitive impairment, mucositis, neuropathies, and care for the elderly. As usual, the conference was marked by the quality of the interactions between the audience and the speakers, fostering a genuine exchange of best practices. Highlights included presentations by Dr. Francesca Andreazzoli, an onco-hematologist and classical homeopath in Italy, and Dr. Fabio Bolognani, who heads the homeopathy
